We visited Vienna not long after serious flooding of the Danube in 2024 but we spent a happy couple of hours sunbathing on a small patch of grass above the flood line, and near the path that runs along the north west bank of the Neue Donau close to the Jamaica Beach café. There were a few such grassy areas and most of them were being used by naturist sunbathers.

The Jamaica Beach café itself is good for drinks and snacks, and while we saw no evidence of complete nudity while we were there there were some topless men and women at the garden tables. In normal summers, without very soft mud at the bottom of the flood banks, it would be a wonderful place to sit, among the trees closer to the water's edge.More reviews by Danny D (20)
