Le Marcassin
Naturist camping
Information
Naturist campsite Le Marcassin in the Dordogne: there you can get away from it all. A place to enjoy and to do nothing. Peace and space. The Dordogne is a beautiful, hilly landscape where you can enjoy walking, cycling or running. Or settle down on a terrace of such a typical French village, or enjoy a day at the tent. Read that book that you never got around to, take a swim, eat an ice cream, have a chat on the terrace. In short, coming to yourself, feeling that you are happy with life or reflecting on how you want life a little differently. Camping Le Marcassin offers you the ideal environment for this. Two movies of Le Marcassin: a guided tour (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBJ6jmZONsw) and Le Marcassin from the air (https://youtu.be/HZtpJg2gkzY)
About naturist camping Le Marcassin
Where once there was a farm, naturists now enjoy this beautiful, natural and quiet part of France. A small-scale, quiet, atmospheric naturist campsite in the southeast of the Dordogne on the border with the Lot. The 1.3 hectare site is playfully and naturally decorated. The pitches are spacious and green, shady or with a lot of sun, something for everyone.
Naturist camping Le Marcassin has 21 camping pitches and rents out three fully equipped chalets. One of the three has its own toilet and shower. The other two use the nearby sanitary facilities of the campsite and are therefore also cheaper. There are also two fully equipped Karsten tents for rent.
Le Marcassin does not specifically target children. Parents with children are very welcome, but the site has no facilities for children.
Facilities naturist campsite Le Marcassin
Le Marcassin has two sanitary buildings. One with 4 showers, washbasins and three WCs. In addition, a small building that is suitable for the disabled. You can cool off in the pleasant swimming pool (12 x 6 m, 1.40 m deep), before having a drink on the terrace, eating an ice cream or relaxing on a sun lounger.
Surroundings naturist campsite Le Marcassin
The Dordogne is beautiful, but the area near Le Marcassin is the most beautiful, according to the owners. Near the beautiful town of Domme, where you have a beautiful view high above the Dordogne river. From Carsac you can enjoy an afternoon canoeing to Cenac, Beynac with its beautiful castle is nearby, the pleasant town of Sarlat is half an hour and the medieval towns of Montpazier and Rocamadour are a 45-minute drive away. Furthermore, Les Eyzies with caves where Neanderthals used to live. If you're a walker or cyclist, you don't have to go anywhere by car: straight out the gate you can indulge yourself, walking on small paths and cycling on low-traffic, hilly roads with beautiful views. The library is full of tips in every area and you can also borrow a book.
In short: welcome in this naturist paradise! This place will always remain, in whatever form, and the owners feel like passers-by who can take care of it and give it a bit of their color, together with their guests.

Opinions and experiences of visitors with Le Marcassin
We are also curious about your experiences with Le Marcassin. Please let us know!
The camping is wonderful. We had a chalet with a great view over the valley towards St Aubin. We were lucky with the weather too. We met a lot of Dutch people, which is not a problem cos I speak Dutch, who were very friendly.
Le Marcassin is in a great position between the Rivers Lot & Dordogne so very handy to see the best of Le Perigord.
Ad, the owner is a friendly chap who helps you settle in and is a hand for any information you want.
The pool area is just great with sun loungers and near to showers etc.
We would love to go back again.
