One of the best periods of my life was being a long time member of LOC. Miss the lovely folks, peace and beauty. Must visit next season 2018. Only 330 miles from my beloved Springwood, no problem!

Well what can we say, we have been 6 times this year already, so if you want peace and tranquility then this is the place for you. We have introduced at least 3 couples to the club and all say the love it, we have also met some great members. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and we shall keep going till our bodies say "enough is enough, it is time to pack it in".

I went in the summer of 2016 for one day when I was visiting near by.
It is fantastic. It is nature. No chip shops, n one selling tickets and spades and cheap plastic gift. Nothing just the wonderful British Countryside, the beach, the sea and some wonderful friendly people either walking or relaxing as nature intended. Some camping.
They were very friendly, I was lucky and we had a wonderful warm day. I took plenty of drinks and and some food. I met a nice guy who invited me to have tea with him in his tent. I was put at ease no pressure and I enjoyed myself.

as a newbie to naturist camping this site is fantastic, very 'wild' which is the attraction, Committee I have met are all very friendly and helpful yet not intrusive,
Older guy who has discovered the joys of naked living and socializing a little too late but intend to pursue for as long as I am able.

Because the slogan of British Naturism is"Nothing's Better" Lakeland Out Door Club is absolute perfection. Just space and tranquility in which to enjoy naturism within nature its self. The absence of the intrusion of unnatural "Facilities" only adds to attraction. Lakeland club is not for the naturist who must have man made accessories that would be expected in a city location. Here is the ultimate which the independent naturist desires. I.e. freedom to live where there is sea in which to bathe and acres of natural herbage on which to wander without being encumbered by any clothes or even footwear. Lakeland club is different so it would be inappropiate to make a comparison to any other naturist club

with the members and surroundings . I will be visiting again

Went for the day knowing that there were no facilities so went prepared. Members were very welcoming, but not intrusive ensuring that we knew where to go. After a wonder round the site we headed to the beach and enjoyed the afternoon sun. A fantastic site we fully intend returning in the near future.

I rated Lakeland as Very Good or should I put Very Bad so that this site remains untouched, quiet and peaceful.

Lakeland is a wonderful site with friendly, welcoming club members who do not intrude on your privacy and have always given me a friendly wave or hello.

I was amazed at at how quiet and remote this site is although it is only a short drive past millom and Haverigg and the rest of civilisation, you do feel a million miles from anywhere. There are absolutely no facilities whatsoever on site, but who needs them when you can read a good book, be without clothes all day and take a gentle stroll down to the beach which is quite literally within 30 seconds walk and 99% deserted.

I am fairly new to Naturism and are still adapting to the lifestyle, this site is perfect for those that want peace and tranquility and may be a little 'shy'. You are left to do your own thing if that is what you want, without intrusion.

I hope this site remains as it is for many years to come. I have returned 3 times in as many weeks for 1 and 2 night stays and cant wait to go back. It is safe to say that I will be joining as a member and if I can persuade the wife (although she is not very naturist) she can tag along to.

I could go on typing but I would just waffle on about how impressed I have been, it wont be everyone's cup of tea but for me......PERFECT!!!

Tranquil site for total relaxation and good healthy fresh sea air. Been many times and always came away wanting another visit as soon as possible because of the friendly and happy members.
Don't expect facilities and luxury, just make sure you have enough things in your car or van for your stay.

excellent isolated wild site with lakeland mountain views, if u want to enjoy nature at its best and get away from everday life, located next to superb beach with excellent swimming although not naturist is very quite and can be used with discretion,no problem with local residents and friendly members.if your looking for facilities then this is not for you, if your looking to return to nature then can't be better'd.

There are no facilities at all here except peace and quiet though water is available at the (almost) nearby Rugby club.
Entertainment is of the sitting around reading and chatting variety. The beach is superb but a towel or similar should be carried in case of passers by who seem infrequent and not unduly bothered. Excellent for a get away from it all break but you ought to take a good book.

very poor site run by angry people

Very isolated, basic site. No water on site or any other facilities. The site is a SSSI which is why it is so basic I believe. Wonderful if you want to get away from everyday hustle & bustle. Not advised to go naked on the huge beach as the locals shout abuse and complain to the local council & police which causes problems for the Club. We were club members for a few years but now spend a lot of time in France during the summer.
