Well worth a visit

Park at the side of the ferry road near the bus stop, about 1km from the ferry toll booth. Walk east through the gate at the bus stop. It's about a 20 minute walk along the fire road to the beach. At the warning sign the path rises to the top of the dunes. Most families go down onto the beach itself. The edge of the dunes overlooking the beach are also very popular giving a combination of view and some shelter from the sea breeze.
The water shelves gently so it is possible to wade out quite some distance.
There is a snack van, at the bottom of the dunes selling soft drinks, ice creams etc.
We have seen this beach very crowded, but also almost deserted.
