End of week midday visit to kenfig nature reserve and beach, I parked up near the pub/church. This is the Kenvig castle end, I couldn't find the entry previously as I had travelled to far and missed this entry, it is a little further to walk (1.5 to 2 mile) but you do miss all the textiles.
Once on this path with my draw sting bag, trainers and shorts.
I also had a towel, suncream with me today and a baseball hat as it was going to be one of the hottest days so far this summer.
Now on a very quiet stretch of pathway that lead all the way though the undergrowth and into the dunes.
I stripped off completely about 20mins, put my shorts and t-shirt into my swim bag, I travelled the rest of the way non-textile, I didn't see anyone until I hit the River inlet at the beach, (steel works end)
The tide was in so I crossed over the river at this point and headed across to the ship wreck.
Found a good sunbathing spot on the beach(not in the dunes), this was going to be a short visit today.
But i was determined to enjoy every minute, I "left my clothes" towel swim bag the lot and went into the sea still non-textile.
There were one our 2 non-textile in the dunes and some in the water, all men.
2 young textle women backpackers passed me while I was uncovered, (i didn't cover up) they said a cherry hello and walked up to the river end.
Once i had my dip in the sea I decided to go for walk in the sea and surf, I would follow the sea has it came in all the way to rocks on the Porthcawl end (1.5mile).
I remained non-textile the whole time, there were a few textiles about, once they saw me most of them left the sea and went back to the beach and shingle.
I stay a little out of sight by making my way around the rocks and found small sunbathing areas, a great place to take a dip in the sea non-textile.
On the return journey I walked up the shingle side even though I had no clothes with me I found a washed up towel and coverd up when I got closure to the textile.
I only had time to do this trip once, but i wanted to chat to a few non-textile male on arriving near the ship wreck.
A pleasant afternoon up to that point, on recovering clothes and orher belongings, I had lost my car key.
After looking and failing, I called up to one of the men I had seen earlier for some help, both of us now looking for my car key.
I found it on the 3rd attempt of looking, I thank this guy.
By now the afternoon had moved into early evening, so I headed across the dunes and undergrowth, I did this non-textile, I only put on some clothes once a could see the church.
A great time today, made a real good male friend, we will look to met up this next time we're both at this beach.

A mid week trip to this amazing kenvig nature reserve and beach. A hot day 24 degrees forecast for when I arrived, it was warm from early in the day.
Parked up, got my swim bag shorts and trainers on, headed across the undergrowth into the dunes (Porthcawl end).
Starting to know the route to take with less textiles, walked right up to the dunes just above the shingle.
Found a good spot to settle, on the beach front. Left my swim bag (extra clothes) and lunch tucked behind a log, I walked across the shingle in shorts and trainer.
Very few textiles around and the tide was in so I strip off "left my clothes behind" and walked up to the sea shore non-textile.
It felt amazing to enter the sea, it was a little cold with plenty of waves.
I walked along the sea and surf, only seen one textile couple sunbathing near the shingle and a few dog walkers in the distance.
I walked the sea shore all the way from the Porthcawl end up to the ship wreck 3/4 mile non-textile.
That's when I started to see non-textile in the dunes and on the beach, I was pleased to see and chat with a few non-textile.
On my way back to where I had stashed my clothes I meet a couple who had stopped and asked me where the best place to sunbathe natural we exchanged pleasantries, all of us non-textile.
I enjoyed this feeling of freedom so much that the next dip in the sea non-textile, I did the same walk but this time staying near the shingle.
I was stopped by another couple who were non-textile sunbathing on the beach, who said this was their first time.
On my 3rd walk i chated to a few men who had been visiting this beautiful beach over the years, all of us non-textile.
It was an amazing experience, one I will repeat. I've become very confident with my natural form, iam so please ive taken the opportunity to do this, I would recommend to anyone who's nervous about using this beach non-textile,to give it a try.
Not one person I meet today had been unpleasant, so just try it.
I will return and spend a bit more time at the ship wreck end as that's where I felt most comfortable, that's down to the lovely people I met today.

A sunny monday afternoon and with just a little wind, my 3rd visit to this nature reserve and beach, I had planned to enter from the remains of kenvig castle end, as ive read a few visitors had used this route, but it was very overgrown and impassable.
So I headed for the nature reserve entrance, i parked up and with my small drawstring swim bag (no towel). I've taken too much in my last 2 visits so kept it to the bare minimum(pardon the pun).
I walked though the undergrowth and into though into the dunes in just my shorts and trainers.
I had read recently that the police had arrested a 50+yr old male in the nature reserve for indecent exposure so I didn't want to be involved in any police matter, so shorts and trainers for me today.
Feeling very impowerd from my first 2 visits, once I reached the beach and crossed the shingle, I removed my shorts and trainers and popped them into my swim bag.
Now non-textile on the beach,
The tide was way out, so I just walked out across the sand there were a few textiles about fishing and 2 or 3 people walking there dogs, but the large parts of the beach were empty.
Once at the sea shore, I left my swim bag about 3mts out from the sea and went in, it felt amazing cold but amazing.
I return and collected my bag and walked non-textile all along the surf for about just over a 1/4 mile before walking back to the high water line.
I wanted to walk along the high water line/shingle with out my bag, so I "left my clothes/bag" high in the shingle behind a large log.
I meet a textile guy jogging who said hello and asked if this is a nudist beach, I said yes. He seamed OK with that.
When I returned to the high water line (left trainers) I walked right from the Porthcawl end up to the ship wreck and back non-textile, around a 1 mile. This was what I was hoping I could do, I was a little nervous.
I met another textiles guy walking his dogs. we had a chat about if the sea was cold, I said it was OK. He seamed a little amused by me being non-textile but he didn't seam to mind.
I didn't cover up as I had nothing to cover myself with so had to be non-textile.
Both my encounters today were pleasant. I returned to my clothes stash in the shingle, dressed and made my way back to the nature reserve car park.
A great day, I did see 2 other non-textile while on the beach. Both there were some distance away, so I didn't get to meet them.

My second visit to this amazing nature reserve, this time on a week day, i parked up quite near again this time.
Weather was dry with a little sun shine on arrival, brought a packed lunch in my back pack, towel and blanket and headed out across the dunes.
I've read a number of posts from non-textile who said that once they walked from the car park entrance they removed thier clothes as soon as they reached to undergrowth. I wanted to try and do this, but flet very nervous as I kept seeing textiles in the distance. I did manage to find a quiet spot in the undergrowth, I removed my shorts and underwear. I did however kept my long hoddie on(like a dry robe) so I opted to wear just that and my trainers, for the walk across the dunes.
The weather didn't disappoint, as when I arrived at my chosen quiet sun bathing spot in the dunes near the sea front, I then removed all my clothes at the point.
I did sunbathe non-textiles for about an 1/2 hr, I did see a few textiles mostly surfers and dog walkers back and forth in the distance, but on this occasion I decided not to cover myself up.
I had a few textiles walk right pass me while Iam non-textile but I didn't cover up even then, some said a hello but others just kept going.
After about an hour I did venture across the last dune down into the sea, I did dress in shorts and trainers to get there but took them off at the edge of the water and placed them in a small drawstring swim bag I took with me.
There were just a couple and a woman walking her dog on the beach, so I walked non-textile amongst the surf and sand, it felt amazing.
I didn't see any other non-textile about but iam ok with that, I walked back to my sunbathing spot, I did this non-textile, right across the beach and back though the dunes.
Once I finished sun bathing I remained non-textile and decided I would explore a bit more today.
So I headed across the costal footpath that runs just behind the dunes that separated the sea shore and the main dunes.
I was very aware that I would definitely encounter textiles and so was very nervous, I did hide a few times when textiles appeared in the distance, to regain my nerve I walked though to the sea shore side and sat in the sand and shingle.
I did venture out again onto the coastal path, I coverd up with just a towel when textile approached.
I only dressed in shorts once i walked access the dunes and had reached the undergrowth not quite non-textile at that point, i managed to walk back towards the nature reserve car park in just a pair of shorts and trainers
I will visit this amazing place again very soon, ive become more confident in myself this time, I would recommend you give it a try.

Visit for the first time today, the weather was mixed on arrival but the sun did show signs of shining.
I did what most people due parked in the nature car park. It had a QR code £4 for the day, which if you plan to have a full day there it's good value.
Got my backpack with my food and drink supplys plus towel and blanket.
Others say It's just over a mile, but for me it didn't seam that far. Ive not been nude on a Welsh beach so a little nervous, but I've been encourage to try after reading other non-textiles experiences.
As I approached the dunes I started to scout out my chosen spot, I found lots of small hollows but then spotted the one for me.
Now with my blanket set out and my towel as a screen over a log, I was set.
I became more confident while taking in the sunshine, so removed all my clothes and stayed in that spot for about an hour, before venturing over the last dune between me and the sea.
It was early in the day so the tide was way out but on its way in, as it was my first Wales Nude/Naturists beach I decided to put on some clothes to get to the waters edge.
I decided to head for the rock out crops which are on the Porthcawl side and not head for the far end near the River, Port Talbot end.
There were small groups of textiles around but no other non-textile, left my clothes including my fleece behind a rock and went along the water edge.
After slowly moving into water as it was cold, I had done it. I felt amazing.
I retraced my steps to get my long fleece (like a dry robe).
I did go back into the water once I removed my fleece, I was only able to stay a little while in the water as it was really cold.
I return to the rock, dressed and went back to my sun bathing spot in the dunes.
I spent most of the day there non-textile sun bathing with a few more dips in the sea. Each time building up my confidence to leave my clothes behind, I did leave all my clothes in the dunes eventually and make my way to the sea shore but only after the tide came right in and the beach was empty of textiles.
When i returned to the dunes to carry out my sun bathing session, a number of textiles walked past me while I was non- textiles I did cover for most of them and left uncovered on only a few. As I didn't want to offend anyone, most of textiles paid little attention to me, which is fine by me.
I will definitely do this again possible in the same spot as it was just out of sight of most people view, it would have been nice but not essential to see other non-textile.

Sker beach didnt dissapoint today. Often you can visit this beach and it feels like your the only nudist there amonst the textiles, so I was pleasantly surpirsed today to see a number of like minded souls, not just in the burrows but walking freely along the beach and in the sea as well.

I generally take the path from the road that hits the beach about a 1/3 of the way along from Portchawl end, as from there i can often go nude for as far as i want and back again. I stripped to my shorts just past kenfig pool, and when i got to the dunes behind the beach stripped off and hid everything and my bag under a small bush. I carry my speedos with me just in case i need to cover up.

I walked along the waters edge all the way past the river and up to the wreck of the Amazon, and back olong the top of the beach, managed to be naked the whole way. Passed a mumber of other nudists and some textiles but nobody seemed bothered, got plenty of cheery hellos.

Just past the river on the way back I walked right in front of a group of 3 young women, didnt even spot them until I was right next to them. I usually cover up for all female groups or solo women, unless their obviously nude, just to avoid any misunderstandings. But they said a cheery hello and were happy enough to chat for a few minutes, not sure who was checking out who the most. They seemed genuinly interested in my enthusing about being naked, I hope to see them there again.

I wish I had an experience like you Paul. I stopped by this afternoon. By the time I got to the beach (which was a really difficult ramble by all accounts), it was 5pm and the beach pretty much deserted. I thought with the fine weather and the rain coming, it may have been busy with naturists making the most of the last beautiful evening for a while. I stripped off half way along the beach and stopped a way short of the final dunes before the river due to 2 groups of textiles that had set up base there (including children). I hovered by another dune for 30mins or so and didn’t see any activity. I did enjoy a naked walk most of the way back to the carpark though as it was so quiet, I didn’t pass a soul. Wish I could have met some like-minded individuals but not to be this time

First time visiting today. Only saw textiles at first but very quiet. Once half way along to the river hardly anyone about. I stripped off, hid my bag in the dunes and walked along the shoreline as it was low tide.

Only people I saw on way down to the river were textiles, but they were all friendly. Slightly awkward passing a group of young women who were wading in the sea. They seemed a bit taken aback at first, but one of them said she wished she was that brave as I passed so I guess they weren't that bothered.

Crossed the river and sunbathed naked for a few hours where the beach meets the pebbles. On the walk back was a bit more daring, walking along the top of the beach. Saw more people naked up on the edge of dunes on way back, mostly men but some older couples. Was great to see the textiles weren't bothered by me or them.

On way back I bumped into the 3 women from earlier, 2 of them were topless, and one chatted as I walked past, asking if I walked all the way and where were my clothes. Explained I hid them and we chatted for maybe 10 minutes before I carried on to get my stuff.

All in all a really great day and positive experience, will definitely go again.

Where are all the nudists (naturists)?

Was I in the right place?

I went a few days ago. Great beach, but no naturists, just maybe 20 textiles, plus horses and fishermen during the two hours I was there.

I entered the beach from the nature reserve, and walked 10 to 15 minutes north to the wooden wreck of the Altmark (there's another wreck right at the north end of the beach). I then walked further north towards the steelworks for about 30 minutes. I didn't see any naturists.

During the walk back it got very quiet and since I could only see a couple of people fishing, I had my first naturist sunbathe for five minutes. I was a little worried that someone would pop out from the dunes or come along the beach so I dressed because I didn't want to offend or upset anyone.

If there had been other naturists to prove I was in the right spot, I would have stayed longer (but alone).

I then walked back to the south end of the beach and back through the nature reserve.

Was I in the right spot? And is there a route that isn't through the nature reserve? The nature reserve required long trousers which aren't easy to get back on in a hurry with damp feet, I've realised?

I would love to try this beach as the closest to me is Marros Sands, which is very difficult to get to and I have never seen another nude beach goer down there. From what I have read, the shortest walk seems to be from the Kenfig Burrows Nature Reserve car park, which seems to be a long way from the nude safe end of the beach. Does anyone have any advice on how best to access the beach, with the shortest walking distance? I’d be very grateful as looking to visit next sunny spell. Thanks, Jon

Great, stripped off just past Kenfig Castle, put clothes on back pack. Wear good walking footwear as there are a lot of low brambles on the ground.
Walked down to the beach and then walked along as far as the river before returning to the path that is the remains of the old road built to develop the deep water harbour.
Returned to the point where I arrived on the road then back into the reserve proper, and back to the castle.
Had a brief chat with a guy on his way to the beach and saw several other non textile visitors on the beach and in the dunes but generally the area is very quiet.
All you need is a decent sunny day!

Lovely sunny day at sker beach today. It's been two years since Tina, Marie an I were here last. A lot of people about which you don't normally see down here. We walked down to the waters edge and started walking in the direction of Port Talbot. After a short walk we stripped off to ours shorts and put our cloths in to our back packs and continued our walk along the shore line. Both Tina and Marie were topless. People we meet along the we're very friendly. Eventually we reached the part of the beach where we feel most comfortable, we could tell by seeing other naked beach users. We settled down on the beach just in front of the sandunes and put or shorts with the rest of our cloths. After some sun bathing, we walked down to the sea for a dip and cooled off. We swam and chatted for a while with a nice young couple, who we would love to meet up with again soon, they were great fun. When we came out of the sea, we had no towels to dry with. So we went for a good walk along the beach and in to the sandunes. All in all we had a good day and loved most of the other people we meet. Special thanks to Colin, Toby, Harry and Lisa for playing.

Love this beach so much. Go there as often as poossible in the warmer weather with my wife and sometimes our good friend Marian. We usually stash all of our clothes and belongings up in the scrub/bushes near the pond and walk naked down through the dunes and then onto the beach. We usually walk the full lengh of the beach, if we have time we walk past the river outlet and as far along Morfa beach as we can. Sometimes we have the beach to ourselves, some days in the summer at weekends it is a bit busier, but that is a relative term as its such a big beach. Sometimes we see some other naturists, usually pass a number of textiles but they pretty much ignore us. Its an amazing beach, the perfect place to walk and swim naked, and we all love being naked and 45 - 60 mins walk away from our clothes stash. Beautiful location.

I have visited Sker on many occasions including today- 9/9/23
It was foggy but very humid, as such it reduced the numbers, but for the better.
It tends to be a male dominated domain, but today there were many more couples, all of whom were happy to pass the time of day. What was pleasing were the number of younger couples throwing off their inhibitions.
I use my mountain bike to get to and from the beach- the long way round NOT through the Bridleways. It is far quicker, even when the sandy paths mean I have to dismount and push.
If you use the Nature Reserve Car Parks it costs £2-£4 now but well worth it

First time going nude at a beach and felt so liberating, amazing, cant wait to go again, there were a few couples but mainly singles. Beautiful long golden beach which I walked from the river to the lifeguard hut with just my rucksack on trying to be a little more discreet when passing textile beach users but had no problems what so ever, amazing day, amazing place

This is one of my favourite beaches for nude bathing and swimming.
I've walked virtually the full length nude with my dog and provided your considerate to the occasional textile you might meet never had a problem.

Recently discovered this beach and loved how huge and quiet it is. Went a little way down but would go further next time. Was my first experience going nude and I loved it. Saw one other person walking around nude which helped give me the confidence to do it!

First time going nude on a beach and it was so exhilarating. Fairly quiet so it was an easy break in. A few walkers, people fishing and they didn't bat an eyelid. Walked most of the way down the beach with just my rucksack on and I felt so alive. Will definitely be visiting again.

This was the first time I have ever tried going nude in public and I absolutely loved it.
The beach was extremely quiet apart from a few dog walkers.
I am going again this Friday if anyone is interested?

Beautiful and was very busy I found more people in the dunes opposite the sinking ship and some in little self made huts on the way to the sinking ship mixed amount of people and clearly very popular directions So you arrive to the car park and you walk down past the building follow the path for 5minutes then you come to point 5 where you can cut right through the grass for 10 min and come out by point 10 continue walking for 5min and you to the “cross paths” turn right towards the steel works down the track for 15minutes past point 15 and you will see a gate with a sign “sheepshading “advertisement on it continue to the next gate and bang your in the centre of it walk to the beach and get nude. There were about 40 people in total 3men to 1woman few couples. It’s clear the nudists are towards the top and I had an eye opener further towards the steel works in the dunes but all eventful and nice people. I would say the walk takes 35min take plenty of water on a nice day.

Quite a walk from the car park at the nature reserve, but it was worth it. We turned right when we reached the lifeguard hut and walked about a mile along the beach in line with the pebble ridge.
There were quite a few couples and single men there, all unclothed and it was so nice to lie in the sun.
Unfortunately we got lost walking back to the car park through the dunes, so it took us a while.

Had a relaxing couple of hours here yesterday.only a few people there and only less than ten walking on the beach
