We visited this wonderful site for the first time in August 2016 and voted it our favourite naturist campsite in France. This year, we ventured further afield and we have just returned from a tour of naturist campsites in Spain, Portugal and France. Le Coteau de l'Herm was the last of 11 campsites we visited. We definitely left the best to last and we have just voted it our favourite naturist site in Europe! The new owners , Aschwin and Manja, made us feel very welcome and were very generous hosts. Apart from the change of ownership, nothing else has changed. Still the same spacious pitches, superb views, relaxing pool area and spotlessly clean facilities. Sadly we are writing this review on the last day of our holiday. We have visited four naturist sites in France over the last 25 days and many others over the last few years. They have ranged from large to small and from lively to peaceful. Without any doubt Le Coteau de l'Herm is the best of them all. It is quite small and peaceful, so won't suit everyone, but the facilities are absolutely spotless, the views magnificent and the pitches level and of a generous size. Shirley and Jaap are incredibly helpful and welcoming. They wish to retire and the business is for sale.The house and site are on the market and we are keeping our fingers crossed that they will find a buyer with the same environmentally friendly and naturist ethos who will continue to operate the site in the same spirit. If they do, we will be back!

This was the best camping experience ever. The setting is beautiful, with views over tranquil forest and farmland from the pitches, the pool and even the washblock! Shirley, Jaap and their lovely team made us feel like part of a family, with such little personal touches as checking when we forgot to order the next morning's bread.
The facilities are amazingly clean and the pitches spacious, with a range between sunny, part shaded and shady. The pool is a huge water filled sausage design and is perfect for both swimming and for lounging on the side. The local village has a nice little market and a decent supermarket, as well as a cave with some stunning drawings! The site is particularly well placed for a huge range of places of interest not too far away. We couldn't fault this site; it's like a little bit of paradise. We would go back like a shot!

This is an excellent campsite, relatively small but spacious. Japp and Shirley who run it are a joy to meet and could could not be more welcoming, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is very relaxed and it is easy to feel at home very quickly. The facilities would grace a first-class hotel and are scrupulously clean. The site is five minutes' drive from the picturesque village of Rouffingac where there is a small supermarket and the usual local shops. The views from the site are attractive at the cost of being a bit exposed to the west wind but that's a small price. Highly recommendable, especially to beginners like us.

This is delightful location. The appointments of the site are excellent. The Dutch owners, Jaap and Shirley Overdulve, are the most considerate, helpful and friendly people one could ever meet.
Go. And find out for yourselves!
