This is a really well situated site best described as idyllic. It is set to the side of beautiful lake which is warm, shallow and private, there is an old pedalo , canoe and boat on the lake together with old children's slides. There is a covered sand area for children to play.
The campsite is flat and the pitches are well marked and of good size. There is ample electric points. The grounds are well tended and there is good little bar and cafe. There are many old static vans on the site. There is a big new wooded indoor area with TV, sauna and hot tub (not working when we visited) Unfortunately its very 'tired' many of the facilities need updating / repairing / replacing. In particular the showers & toilets (although the toilets are kept very clean) There are activities for children and a range of outdoor games. The area is excellent and there are good cycle paths to local shops and public transport to the nearest city. If you are happy with basic facilities we would recommend this site because of its excellent location next to the lake, with a little bit of investment it could be so much better.
