Opinions and experiences of visitors with Woodpeckers in Wales

Interested to read the recent review. We also visited this site recently, having previously visited a few years ago when we had a fantastic time. this time however, we found many faults, not least those already mentioned such as the pool and clubhouse. previously the evenings were buzzing with lots going on, but this time people were either sat about moaning about how bad things were, or sat watching tv.
The site itself is still pretty which is a shame. They say "never go back" we did, but wont't be again.

Having recently visited this site, we were bitterly disappointed to find that the much advertised swimming pool was closed for the duration of our stay. The clubhouse from the outside looks quite large, however inside it is cramped and dark with most of the space allocated to a pool table and table tennis table. All members and guests have to squeeze around the tv area or 1 or 2 tables shoved in a corner. There was obviously unrest throughout the site and we were shocked to overhear 2 of the Directors slagging off some of the permanent members in front of us and other visitors, with what can only be described as a very offensive manner. We also noted a number of signs around the site advising us that we were being recorded by cctv cameras 24/7 and further observations spotted a number of cameras around the site. This made us feel very uncomfortable throughout our stay, as did the gentleman who met us on our arrival (think his name was Mike)and constantly pestered us to ask if we were enjoying ourselves, and would we be coming back, or referring to others etc etc, His constant attention almost verged on being creepy to be honest, which once again we would not expect on a naturist site.
We definitely will not be returning and would not recommend this to any other naturists looking for somewhere different.
Do yourselves a big favour and go somewhere else.

My husband and I spend two weeks here in May in our caravan, instead of the one we were planning first. But it is such a nice club, with friendly clubmembers, and its relaxed atmosphere that we did not want to leave. If you look on their website and scroll down to the last picture you can see that is is a small but cosy club. The facilities are very good, ( covered swimming pool, new sanitairy block, washing machine, use of kitchen, free WI-FI etc.) the location is quiet, and yet near shops and public transport.
We will try to return next year, all the way from The Netherlands. We regret that it is so far away for us.

Quick response from the visitors secretary and excellent directions to this lovely naturist site in rural Wales.
What a gem. Well kept site, clean toilets and showers.
Every member we spoke to were nice and very helpful.
The swimming pool is beautful, very clean and warm.
Throughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back!
