Opinions and experiences of visitors with Woodpeckers in Wales

I was fortunate to spend 8 days here in 2019, being a single male i was ecstatic to be able to frequent a naturist club.
Being a lifetime naturist it has become so hard to be able to find naturist site that allow single males.
Well from the start it was a beautiful place very relaxing all the members and directors made me feel very welcome.
So much so 1 of the single female directors was more friendly than the others, especially when i asked her if there was someway i could visit on a regular basis (single males no being allowed full membership)
So put this to the directors and to my amazement they offered me a plot on the site so i could come and go with my motor home.
I duly paid my subscriptions for the plot and my membership, and on my return a couple of weeks later was invited to stay with one of the female directors whilst i prepared my plot. Which took a lot of work to level the site as it was on a slope. Which took quiet a lot of money as it was covered in weeds.
My main warning is it was seen as my having a relationship with the female director, and as such when she decided we were not to be. The directors ?? or was it Darth Norman informed me that i quote.
From our experience of couples splitting up where both individuals could be on site at the same time (and I refer to Ann D and yourself in this case), there could be unforeseen problems on site.

We are very sorry, but the Directors agree that it would be in the best interests of both parties and our club, if you did not return as a member or a visitor.

Myself i am a 66 year old male with spinal problems not a 15 year old kid.
Things that need to be known are there are camera's on site which are regularly monitored by a mobile phone app, which in itself is not a bad thing, but it also has an audio feed to which the directors use as a listening device. So they can hear what any one says in the clubhouse it's a way of monitoring the Chinese whispers. Which i know is mostly caused by the directors.
Just a word of warning at first it seems a very tranquil and friendly site.
But stray onto the dark side and Darth Norman will take your money and run to the Death Star

This is the best naturist site I have been to in Wales and further a field. Very well kept, really private. Lovely indoor pool, nice clubhouse and shower block. The people are very friendly and really make you welcome. Hook up points available.

Had a great time at this site. The people were very friendly and the place is exceptional. Everything (gardens, toilets, swimming pool and club house)maintained to a very high standard. Will definaltly be going back and cant wait.

As a first time to the site I found the welcome as it should be from Mike and his wife, tea and cake! Very good site and well organised. No pool due to the ravages of winter and the need to put in poolside showers(a must). The temperature was going up and they expected the pool to open by the Spring Bank Holiday weekend. The facilities were all good and very clean and the use of the kitchen saved me washing up in my campervan. A big thank you to all who made my visit.

Interested to read the recent review. We also visited this site recently, having previously visited a few years ago when we had a fantastic time. this time however, we found many faults, not least those already mentioned such as the pool and clubhouse. previously the evenings were buzzing with lots going on, but this time people were either sat about moaning about how bad things were, or sat watching tv.
The site itself is still pretty which is a shame. They say "never go back" we did, but wont't be again.

My husband and I spend two weeks here in May in our caravan, instead of the one we were planning first. But it is such a nice club, with friendly clubmembers, and its relaxed atmosphere that we did not want to leave. If you look on their website and scroll down to the last picture you can see that is is a small but cosy club. The facilities are very good, ( covered swimming pool, new sanitairy block, washing machine, use of kitchen, free WI-FI etc.) the location is quiet, and yet near shops and public transport.
We will try to return next year, all the way from The Netherlands. We regret that it is so far away for us.

Quick response from the visitors secretary and excellent directions to this lovely naturist site in rural Wales.
What a gem. Well kept site, clean toilets and showers.
Every member we spoke to were nice and very helpful.
The swimming pool is beautful, very clean and warm.
Throughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back!
