Information

Val Drôme Soleil is surrounded by the mountains of the Drôme department close to the Ardèche and Provence. The 120 pitches on the 30 hectare campsite offer both sun and shade. There are also pitches in the woods and on several of the terraces on the hillside, one of which has a magnificent view over the surrounding area.

On the campsite, with swimming pool, restaurant, bar, table tennis facilities and a volleyball court, the worries of daily life seem far away. The restaurant welcomes you for lunch and dinner, with shared meals and themed evenings. Also, they organize activities for all ages, and excursions in the surroundings.
And...as the name implies, there is plenty of sunshine in the Drôme valley.

Besides the spacious pitches for tents and caravans, they also offer chalets (gîtes) for rent. The nearby 'Formidable' villa and gîte are also available to rent.

From June till mid-September, booking recommended.

Opinions and experiences of visitors with Val Drôme Soleil

Our experience of Val Drome ahs been nothing short of perfection.
My girlfriend and I paid them a brief visit last year when we needed to find a new venue, as Romegas had decided to go 'textile' in the hope of a few more visitors (we all said it was a mistake!).
After more than thirty years of going to Romegas, my girlfriend was expecting much the same kind of 'frosty' reception - but it couldn't have been more different!
We were welcomed with open arms, a smile, the offer to use the pool (it was an incredibly HOT day!), a bite to eat and a drink at the bar. When we met an old friend from Romegas, we knew that Val Drome was 'okay'. We came back a few days later, intending to stay for just the last two days of our holiday, then take two days to drive home... that was the idea, at least... ;-)
Well, we had quickly made some good friends (who'll we'll be seeing again next week... I must remember the whisky!), and it was 'one of those nights' in the disco where every record (remember them?!) played was your favourite!
So... we didn't go home...and then had to drive the whole journey in one day, instead... but it was worth it!
I absolutely LOVE this place, and we have told all our (Belgian & Dutch) chums about it. We'll be there again in just over a week's time, and we can't wait!
