Le Village du Bosc

26-07-2016
With my wife we spent one week in the Village du Bosc in June 2016. We rented one of the bigger mobile homes (the ones for 4 people). It was really comfortable for the 2 of us. The camping had an older clientele, mostly Dutch, and naturist values were well respected. One of the best things was the large number of naturist hiking trails around the camping. You could hike for 1.5 – 3 hours (on each trail) without ever meeting anybody and the views were truly amazing (especially on the Green Trail). The atmosphere of the camping was relaxed and peaceful, which was a big plus for us. And yes, the ground everywhere is red, giving the place a unique feel.

The lake is a short drive away (you can even hike there if you want, but clothed unfortunately). At the beach of Celles, naturism is tolerated as one goes farther away from the small village. We tried it once, but left after a short time, as we felt uncomfortable with textiles passing through and by some weird single men around. Maybe we were just unlucky or chose a wrong spot. We were told that naturism is also tolerated at the other side of the lake, on the peninsula. It might be better there.

We were very happy with the camping, we really felt close to nature, without any civilization close by. The only negative could be that the Wi-Fi never seems to work. However, it might be a positive thing for some, I don’t even remember when I was completely offline for a full week the last time. Overall, I can strongly recommend Village du Bosc, we will definitely be back.

Terme d'Astor

My wife and I spent only a long weekend at Terme d’Astor in July 2016. We rented one of the bigger chalets. It was really nice and comfortable, definitely a big improvement from the mobile homes we have become used to. The camping site had mostly a Dutch clientele, across all the ages. It was really peaceful and relaxing. The facilities (from the Wi-Fi to the chalet equipment to the pool and so on) were of very high quality. This time of the year, they had some activities organized, mostly for kids, but also some for adults. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. What we were kind of missing was naturist hikes (we have recently become a big fan), but as the camping is located just next to a village there were only clothed hiking trails available. Overall, we were happy with the camping and had a great time.

Centro Naturisto Sierra Natura

My wife and I decided to spend a week (May 2016) at Sierra Natura after reading all the good reviews on this website. We were glad we did as it is truly an amazing place.

We stayed in one of the apartments called "Casa La Nube". We saw the pictures online, but we were still surprised how well it looked when we walked in the first time. The bathroom was huge and the bed very comfortable, the kitchen was sufficiently equipped. The camping was peaceful and quiet, even during the day, most of the time you could only hear mother nature around you.

The website is not very informative, but you have all the services you would expect from your friendly naturist camping: Wifi (accessible from a common area not from the rooms), freshly made bakery in the morning, delicious dinners in the evening and a small shop open all day. We found the dinner good value for money and good quality. They can even accommodate vegetarians if requested.

We really liked the several (marked!) naturist hikes in the area. There are currently 5 of them, ranging from 1 to 6 hours long. As the camping is out of nowhere we have not met anybody during our hikes (did 4 out of the 5 routes). I've never realized how recharging naturist hikes are!

There are also several naturist beaches in the Valencia / Alicante region, however they are between 1h15min - 2h drive away.

The staff was very friendly, the campsite amazing, it was definitely worth the long trip. We will definitely be back!

Castillon de Provence: Camping-Bungalow Parc Naturiste

My wife and I spent a week at Castillon de Provence in August 2015. We had an amazing time there. We rented the Mobilhome Oxygene, which is one of the smaller mobilehomes (with a toilet, but without shower). The kitchen was well equipped and it was the perfect size for us. The washroom area was only a short walk away, where you could take a shower while looking at the amazing mountain scenery at the same time. Loved it!

The only thing we didn't like in the mobilehome was that the blankets were very thin and if we didn't have our sleeping bag with us we would have been cold for sure (although the mobilehome had heating so wouldn't have been the end of the world).

The lake was wonderful! It was not too cold and it had this amazing turquoise colour. You can walk there (naked) in about 15 min. Another thing that we very much appreciated was the free activities organized (if I am correct they only have them in July and August). Every morning they had "gym" and aqua-gym classes with a trainer changing the exercises every day. Also, they organized kayaking and canoeing classes and many other activities. As we like to do a lot of sports during our holiday we had a blast.

If I had to say something negative, I would say that we found the pool very cold, even too cold for the aqua-gym. Although it was not a big deal as we were swimming in the lake most of the time anyway.

The whole atmosphere was great and very welcoming. We had a very good experience and will definitely be back.
